When you're stuck within 4 walls [figuratively] trying not to go nuts [or more nuts] you fixate on doing things. This is what's keeping me on a relative level of sanity...both are from bare-metal strip-downs requiring brazing [metal work]...all the way to what you see now.... [in a bit of a rut with the colour scheme]...   So, what have you guys been doing for sanity? ...

For 32 years I have lived in the same house in Melbourne, Australia and 5 years more before then - nearby....and all up - about 60 years over 3 places. In that time the population of Melbourne has more than doubled [almost tripled] and in a few years will pass Sydney to be Australia's largest city. Instead we moved to Ballaarat [also in Victoria]...and only the 3rd largest city in Victoria, population 101 thousand.   And that got me to thinking.... The USA has 300 million peo...

Or rather....I blew it... In all my 64 years on the planet I'd never seen snow falling - LIVE. As some might know....I'm in the process of moving home after 32 years in the same house in Kensington, Melbourne [Oz] and am moving to Ballaarat [correct spelling] which is roughly 100km West from Melbourne. Today, while leaving there to return to 'home' I ended up driving in my first-ever sight of snow falling. "Thrilling", I hear you say....but for me it was a novel experience....effing ...

When I'm not here [shock-horror...sometimes I'm not]... I'm a Race Official FIA/FIM [Formula 1 - MotoGP - SBK] . Here's me at Albert Park, Opening event of the 2019 F1 Calendar.  I'm the one in the jacket - each badge on it is a one year service badge.  There are 34 of them...I got the 35th 2 days later... This was actually my 40th Australian GrandPrix in a row, one of only 4 or 5 who have made it that far.

For those who may not click with the name, some of the world's greatest guitarists have referred to Malcolm Young as the greatest Rhythm Guitarist of all time. As the co-founder of ACDC he'll be remembered for a very long time. 

Having been an Official for MotoGP for 23 years someone decided I'd be suitable fodder to drive in the Riders' Parade last Sunday before the GrandPrix at Phillip Island [Australia].... ...so this is the one I drove... BMW M235i ...about 320hp 8 speed in-line 6 turbo ...bit 'wasted' when we were putting around at 50kph [30mph]. Fortunately it didn't rain during the parade so the roof was down [as it SHOULD be on a convertible] ... So.... What do you do in that time no-one pays ...

I have 4 computers running Windows 10. On all 4 I've either avoided by deferring and/or simply not been in the rollout of the Anniversary Update yet. So I decided to treat [?] Terry to the new and 'improved' Win 10 and loaded it on hers via me 'forcing' the update. And all worked fine....even improved some graphics glitches [as in eliminated them, not made them bigger]. So... It's that time of the year again.  I've been to the track to get my passes etc. .... for the 37th time in a row. Albert Park [Melbourne] is just 5 days away.  I'm posted at Turn 6 Left [Comms] and Terry's at 5.8 Right [Trackie] And to think I was 26 years old at that first one I did in 1980 - when Alan Jones was World Champion. Gone are the days of push-starting Senna [on my own] in Adelaide - I'll leave nudging 700 kilos of F1 to someone younger... Wit...
