What ya listenin' to at the moment?

Me?...a great bit of serious guitar work called 'Yo Momma', from Frank Zappa [Sheik Yerbootie]....my kinda music, and something even Hendrix would have been proud of....

I assumed so, judging by what you mentioned you listened to. I am north of Baltimore in Harford County.

Enjoy the sampler.

I think we took over this forum topic (hehe)

I can see you put a lot of time and effort into your website, and yet it's optimized for 800 by 600 resolution.. that's a tad small for most people. I'd consider upping that to 1024 if you want more traffic.
Just a suggestion of course...

I must be one of the last of the few that still likes her desktop at 800 x 600.

I am always tons behind what everyone else is doing in the computer world.

But I accept your suggestion, in the spirit it was given. I really need to get on with the times.

I just got a new puter though, the old one, I wasn't very brave to make a lot of changes.

Nice to keep you company!

Thanks, I didn't mean it as a criticism...
It was difficult for me to let go of good old 800 too, but 1024 is nice, you get used to it real quick.
I'm actually using 1152 now, I tried 1280 but it was too tiny for me to see well.
Nice chatting with you...

I see you're using Yahoo Messenger, does that interface with ICQ?

Well, I see you're skinning for ICQ, so obviously you must use that too...

If you can call what I do skinning! (hehe)

I made feeble attempts at both icq and yahoo!

I have been on a cantankerous computer for ages and it has stifled my creativity a great deal. Perhaps with this new one, I will get back into things, including changing my screen size, (hehe)

Why are changes like that so hard for people like me? So tentative I am!

I should look to my stats to see what is the main size that my visitors use, and make my sites compatible for the majority. It makes sense.
on Dec 18, 2002
I think that a majority of people are using 1024 by 768, I base that on my own observations so it may not
be entirely accurate.

I haven't had time to really go through your site yet, but it looks pretty well put together and interesting.

I wish to thank you for having a peek at my site. I appreciate that.

Apparently my stats doesn't allow me the information I wanted on screen size, so I went to another section of the site with that information and apparently, believe it or not the top size was 800 x 600 making up 51% of the users...
1024x768 would make up 35%
1280x1024 totalled 6%

The rest were usiing something even larger, or...smaller, hehe

I am sure glad though you brought it up, its something I need to keep investigating on my sites.

on Dec 18, 2002
Well, that is very interesting indeed, and contrary to what most people were telling me!

Here is my reasoning...
You belong to a community of savvy computer users, and I am willing to bet that indeed the majority use the settings you say.

I am also willing to bet that for the most part that figure I mentioned is likely close to correct, (pertating to my sites) because there is a whole group of people, who use their pc's at factory settings, they are not as knowledgable.

The mails I get, asking for help with downloading and installing skins, you would not believe. I have to teach some what is a .zip file.
on Dec 18, 2002
I believe you, and what you say makes a lot of sense....
There is an obvious disparity between say the users of this site and the general public...
