Dopus is gotta be the best....
Published on February 2, 2010 By Jafo In Personal Computing

Since first using Litestep I have ALWAYS used an alternative to Explorer for file management.

Directory Opus works perfectly in Win 7....and has a ver specific for 64bit [all the better]....

...so it's the one I use now.

24 hour link to the discount....time is ticking.... hours

Bump #2 ....under 3 hours.

Missed the disount... But after testing it a few hours I really think I will give up my Total Commander in favour of this. It feels so 'native' in Windows 7 now. Last looked into DO when it was version 6 or something...

Carl...yes, it's a keeper.

Both Powerdesk 7 and Explorer Plus don't play all that happy with Win 7 64bit.

Although I must say it looks quite nice with aero, it looks like crap with any WindowBlinds, especially the file dialogs and the whole surface has a much more classic touch than with aero. I even switched off the "WindowBlinds compatibility mode" (whatever that is good for), same result.

So, Paul, do You have any sources for customization of this thing besides the DO forums ? I will try myself also in the meantime by using portions of WB...

Double Post...

Just the various icon sets....not too fazed about appearance....file managers are all about feature/performance...

Probably a pity it doesn't use Directskin like Powerdesk does....

Yeah I ended up customizing the colors and fonts and Apogee-izing the icons.
