The opinionated ramblings and muses of a weary web victim.

Looks like I'm isolating for a week.

Better part of half a million people at the Grand Prix last week...[they claimed it was a world record - seems they forgot about Adelaide in 1995 ....when it WAS a World Record]....

Bloody good odds I'd get Covid ....

...and I did...

Well, don't forget your flu shot after you both recover, and consult with your Doctor. As you know, Covid infection grants no immunity to influenza.

Sadly, the current Covid shots do not fully immunize, even after the first and second boosters, which is why Israel has authorised third and fourth boosters nationwide to hopefully reduce the spread and severity of the disease.  That's why, even though I had the first two shots and the first booster, I only ever leave home if I absolutely have to, such as for medical appointments and such.

That's right, I have my flu shot at my next doctors appointment... to be sure, to be sure.

[notice my phony Irish accent there?]

About 3 days to go to escape lockdown...yay...

Mine's mild...had worse flu.  Terry's is the most ill I've seen her in 42 years.  Can hardly swallow...or speak above a whisper.
Prayers for Terry...

For me, the worst 2 symptoms were a really bad cough, and fatigue. I was sleeping nearly 17 hours per day.

We're both getting better...now it's just that bloody cough...

We're both out of lockdown in a couple of days....it'll be good to just 'do something' again...

We're both getting better...now it's just that bloody cough...

Don't be too surprised if that continues a while.

Glad to hear you're both on the mend.  As for the cough... the bloody cough, I quit the smokes 17 years ago and still have a bloody cough.  However, I am told that diabetes is more likely the cause and I may have to learn to manage it and live with it.  For the most part it isn't so bad, but at night when I laying down trying to sleep it becomes a constant tickle in the throat and there's no sleeping while that's happening.  I now have one of those asthma inhalers beside the bed and it does help relieve it.
