Michael Schumacher is currently in Hospital in a coma after a skiing accident. 22 years of F1 didn't get him....hopefully this won't either. I've 'known' him since he started in F1....even provided supporting evidence which ensured he won his first Championship [in Adelaide]...in my role as Race 'Observer'. But Kid Rock was better... Saw them Tonight [Sunday] with 100,000 or so others in Melbourne [Etihad Stadium]. Kid Rock was the 'support'...but I preferred them to JBJ.... the accoustics were crap - certainly didn't help...and JBJ's mixer should have been shot...but maybe it was more the stadium than him...

Terry and I just saw it today...and it's brilliant.... As some of you might know...both myself and Terry work as Officials in Formula One .... and I started as a Communicator in 1976 ....around the time the movie was set. I didn't get 'my hands on' [or even see an F1 in the flesh] until 1980 ... but certainly some of the names mentioned were still around then...and the first time I would have met Lauda was in '84 at Calder [in Melbourne]. It's an excellent movie...

Third year in a row, and that's a first for anyone. And between Oz and Canada we have 7 of the top ten.... There's something to be said for living in the 'best' place and just visiting cities like NY and London... [it'd help though if they weren't so bloody far away]....

16 year old Pink fan paid 460-odd to be in the mosh pit at Pink's concert last night [in Melbourne] and TWITtered some crap about a bomb...and 'blowing up the Rod Laver arena'.... His face was identified from his page....and he was located in the arena.....carted out by security and didn't get to see anything of the concert. Saw it today....Terry spent a lot of time 'hiding'....she enjoys Zombie movies..... It was good, we both enjoyed it. Movies re Zombies, Vampires, and such always make me wonder....is there a book of 'rules' by which everyone MUST follow...re how to kill/avoid/beat/etc such critters? I hear tell they don't actually exist so are the 'creation' of someone's imagination....     ....but I could be wrong....
